This group is part of the British Association of Dermatologists and members are active in both associations. The BCDG functions independently of commercial interests and is not sponsored by commercial organisations.All full members are on the General Medical Council (GMC) Specialist Register listed as Consultant Dermatologists and are recognised as the highest qualified skin care experts.

The Aesthetics Conference and Exhibition 2017 

Central London on 31st March and 1st April

Programme organiser Amanda Cameron, together with the ACE steering committee, led by Mr Dalvi Humzah and also comprising Dr Raj Acquilla, Dr Tapan Patel and Sharon Bennett, is dedicated to producing high-quality educational content, exceeding the best industry standards every year.ACE is committed to supporting more and more healthcare practitioners in the UK and overseas during their professional careers in medical aesthetics; helping them to perfect both their clinical and business skills in order to dramatically increase their clinics’ performance and operations.Delegates can either register for a free Exhibition Pass or book to attend up to four Premium Clinical Agenda sessions, which will feature independent clinical presentations and demonstrations from prominent aesthetic practitioners within the specialty all focused on treating the face. 
In these modules, experienced practitioners will each assess the same patient and present their recommended treatment plan and how they would successfully perform the procedures. Following their assessments, they will each perform a live demonstration of one of these treatments on the patient, showing delegates how to safely and effectively administer this treatment. They will also discuss relevant anatomical considerations to be aware of, as well as pre- and post-procedure care and delegates have the opportunity to ask questions and discuss treatments at the end of the session.

JOINT BSDS/BCDG CLINICAL MEETING ON SCAR MANAGEMENT17TH NOVEMBER 2016 09:30 – 13:30 at 11 Cavendish Square, London

Lunch will be provided from 1:30 - 2.30pm.This meeting is aimed at dermatologists and dermatology trainees with an interest in dermatological surgery. Interacting is encouraged by contributing ideas and asking for guidance. CPD credits are available with this course. The Clinical meeting is free to BSDS & BCDG members and £60 for non-members. SK:N 12th Annual Medical Convention 

This is an annual forum where many of the country's leading Dermatologists Plastic Surgeons come together to explore the latest in new treatments and technologies.  This year's agenda consists of lectures presented by Medical Professionals such as Dr Firas Al-Niaimi & Dr Daron Seukeran including potential live feed demonstrations. CPD points will be applied for.

BCDG/BAD Award (2016)

£1,500 for Trainees and Junior ConsultantsThis was won by Dr Faisal Ali for his application to visit Dr Steven Thng’s Pigmented Skin Unit at the National Skin Centre in Singapore. Dr Ali plans to learn melanocyte harvesting and grafting techniques in the treatment of stable vitiligo nad with a view to introducing a clinical service to the UK. He will also attend clinics managing vitiligo, melasma, lupus, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, lichen planus pigmentosa etc in pigmented skinCongratulations Faisal!Judging was performed by three consultant dermatologists who are members of BCDG.The Fellowship will be advertised again next year with a deadline for applications on 31st March 2017
